Plants belong to the biological domain Eukarya. Eukarya is one of the three main domains of life, the other two being Bacteria and Archaea. Organisms in the Eukarya domain are characterized by having cells with nuclei and other membrane-bound organelles. This domain includes all eukaryotic organisms, such as plants, animals, fungi, and protists.
