 Pancakes are a classic breakfast food that are easy to make at home. Here is a simple recipe for making pancakes:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

  • Vegetable oil, for cooking


Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, beat together the milk, egg, and melted butter.

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy.

  4. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a little oil to the pan and use a paper towel to spread it evenly.

  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake.

  6. Cook the pancakes for 1-2 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface and the edges start to look dry. Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until they are golden brown on both sides.

Note: If the batter seems too thick, you can add a little more milk to thin it out. If it seems too thin, you can add a little more flour to thicken it up.
